How it Works

  • There are two “seasons” for music lessons. The main season runs from Sept to June, the summer season runs through July & August.
  • We operate all year round, but during the summer season as most people take time off we operate 2 to 3 days of the week and the instructor roster may become limited. When you Register for the main season and you wish to continue through the summer, your scheduled time will likely change for that period.
  • When you do register for a series, your scheduled time will be spread from the date of registration to the end of June in order to protect your place.
  • You may change your spot at any time as long as the schedule permits.
  • For families with more than one student we do our best to schedule everyone at the same time or as close to each other as possible. If we are unable to do so right away please keep checking in with us to see if the opportunity to adjust your schedule arises.
  • We offer 2 recitals per year, December and June.
  • In the spring you may reserve ahead for the September season. Doing so offers you a much higher chance of getting your preferred time slot. Reservations are dated and attended to on a first come first serve basis.

Lessons & Other Services

  • Once a week, 30 minutes each, in person or online / open door policy for parents
  • Semi-Private available – Please enquire
  • For very young students 3yrs to 5yrs, please enquire for instructor availability
  • You may schedule a trial lesson ($25) before committing to a series
  • Start any time
  • Minimum 1 calendar month commitment
  • Guitar and Violin sales and rental available
  • Discounts on instrument sales for registered students
  • Instructors will provide take home materials and will recommend books as required

Payments & Fees

  • $117.00 charged each 4 week month / pro rated for shorter or longer months – no additional taxes or fees
  • We accept all forms of payment including Email transfer and online Stripe payments
  • Payments due 1st week of each month
  • Auto charge to CC available

Cancellations, Rescheduling & Holds

Online Lesson request:

  • In the case you are unable to travel or make it to the school for an in person lesson, you may request an online lesson within as little as 30 minutes prior to your scheduled time. It’s recommended you call and email to make sure we get your urgent message.
  • Your instructor must consent to the online request
  • They will send you a zoom link, face time or Skype call
  • Failed online lessons due to a technical problem are not credited.

Otherwise

  • We require 24hr advance notice minimum
  • We will accept an email message up until midnight the day before
  • Day of cancellations are forfeit, unless an exceptional / serious event or situation has occurred
  • It is expected that students provide the same courtesy if the instructor must be absent and a substitute is unavailable
  • You may claim up to 6 makeup lessons until the end of the end of the full time season (Sept- June)
  • Cancellation of series must be sent via email before the end of the month or next billing cycle. * Refer to minimum commitment.
  • Refunds and “carry over credits” do not apply.

Holding Your Spot

  • We will hold you place for you to protect your schedule in the event that you are unable to attend lessons for 3 to 4 weeks.
  • Pre-payment for the return month required
